This webinar will discuss the optimal use of the Intercollegiate Surgical Curriculum Programme (ISCP) with respect to delivery of the relevant curriculum for both trainer and trainee. The webinar will highlight how best to identify learning requirements with the optimal use of the MCR. There will also be time for questioning and discussion over the practical uses of the ISCP.

Keith Jones MB BS, MS, FRCS (Gen Surg) , ISCP Surgical Director

Keith Jones is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon working at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust in Surrey. He sits on the Board of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers as the JCST representative for whom he is the Surgical Director of the ISCP. As such he oversaw the introduction of the 2021 Surgical Curriculums with the MCR and initiated the “ask Keith” sessions where he sought to enhance the understanding of the practical aspects of the curriculum and how best to utilise the ISCP for both Trainees and Trainers.

As a Trainer Keith has, in addition to being still an active Clinical Supervisor, Lead CS and EAS, been a General Surgery TPD, The first London Vascular TPD, Vascular SAC Liaison Member, Vascular SAC Curriculum lead and Deputy Chair. Author of the Vascular Surgery 2021 Curriculum.

For the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland, Keith has been Chair of the Training and Education Committee and Exam Board Representative. He is now President Elect of VSGBI for the year 2025-26.
