Description

The BSIRT/IRJ interventional radiology journal club is back for the 7th session!

This month we take our focus to #cancer, where we explore the role of selective internal radiotherapy for hepatocellular carcinoma. Interventional oncology is one of the most exciting specialties within IR. Selective internal radiotherapy (SIRT) is a novel, minimally-invasive treatment for many cancers including HCC, and involves navigating a catheter via the arterial system to precisely target the tumour and deliver radiation treatment.
