Intro to interventional radiology devices (15 minutes)
Introduction to other common devices used in interventional radiology, such as:
- The Seldinger technique
- Angiography catheters
- Embolisation devices
- Stents and balloons
- Explanation of the indications for each device and how they are used
- Demonstration of the use of these devices

Ultrasound and device demonstration (60 minutes)
Explanation of the basic principles of ultrasound imaging
Demonstration of ultrasound-guided needle placement for various procedures e.g.
- Peripheral and central venous access
- Paracentesis
- Thoracentesis
- Biopsy
- Practice for participants with guidance from instructors
