1. Upon completion of this session, the learner will be able to identify and understand the key practical skills required in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), including monitoring of vital signs, resuscitation techniques, and management of life-threatening emergencies. 2. After this session, the learners will be able to demonstrate proficiency in utilizing the specialized ICU equipment, such as mechanical ventilators, different monitors, infusion pumps, etc. 3. At the end of this session, the attendees will be adept at performing the procedural skills necessary in the ICU such as intubation, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, etc safely and effectively. 4. The learners will be able to apply their theoretical knowledge of critical care medicine in the delivery of practical care to critically ill patients in simulated scenarios. 5. Upon completion, medical professionals will develop an understanding of the importance of bedside manner, communication, and coordination in an ICU setting, and will be able to empathetically communicate with patients and their families, while effectively coordinating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
