The BIR, in collaboration with the Radiology Undergraduate Association, is very proud to be hosting our International Radiology Undergraduate Symposium (IRUS) annual conference 2022 virtually on Saturday 26th March 2022!
With speakers from all across England, we have an exciting day of talks on clinical research and radiology sub-specialties, competitions, interactive cases workshops and career-guided talks on how to successfully apply to speciality training! We have an amazing line-up of speakers who will be providing some great insights into the speciality so we really recommend getting a ticket as soon as possible!
Educational aims:
- Improve understanding of different subspecialties within radiology
- Promote radiology related research and critical writing
- Improve understanding on how radiology fits into the clinical workflow
Essay competition
This year we are looking for attendees to voice their opinions on improving exposure to the field of radiology. Essay submissions are now open for the iRUS annual conference 2022. If you would like the chance to participate in an international essay competition and win our unique prizes, keep reading!

All submissions will be anonymised and judged by a panel of radiologists. Successful applicants will be contacted to give a short oral presentation on the day of the conference to a panel of judges. The highest-rated presentation will receive the unique prize of two 30-minute 1-1 career networking sessions with a renowned radiologist.
