Join us on Wednesday the 4th of September at 18:00 for a webinar on How to Prepare an Abstract (For JOGS and Other Conferences). This online webinar will feature expert advice from consultants who will share their wealth of experience in crafting captivating abstracts for acceptance to international conferences. As well an informative talk, there will be an opportunity to ask the consultants all of your burning research questions.

FEATURING:

Professor Amy O'Higgins is a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in The Coombe Hospital. She is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology for UCD and the Director of the UCD Centre for Human Reproduction. She has an extensive list of publications and has a special interest in modifiable pregnancy risk factors, such as maternal obesity, gestational diabetes mellitus and aberrant fetal growth.

Dr Khadijah Ismail is a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in University Maternity Hospital Limerick. She has vast experience in teaching and spent 6 years working as Clinical Fellow with University of Limerick. At the same time, she completed her PhD research on placental cord insertions and their effects on adverse pregnancy outcomes, leading to multiple journal publications. Her clinical interests include labour ward management, early pregnancy ultrasound and benign gynaecology.

The audience will learn from Professor Amy O'higgins and Dr Khadijah Ismail, gaining insight into their personal methodologies for preparing abstracts, and how to apply this in their own work. 4. By using real examples from the consultants' personal experience and academic publications, participants will be able to effectively strategize the representation of their research. 5. Attendees will be guided on how to approach, interpret and address questions from conference attendees about their abstracts and wider research, enhancing their ability to communicate their work confidently and effectively to their peers.
