The BISA speaker series team are delighted to announce the first of the ‘How to Succeed Series’!

We are pleased to introduce three fantastic guest speakers who will be sharing how to make the most out of your surgical placements. There are many opportunities during these placements to learn and to develop your interests in surgery. Our speakers will be sharing their experiences and giving their tips on placements in general surgery, trauma and orthopaedics, ENT and niche surgical specialties.

1. Dr James Halle Smith- ST1 trainee in General Surgery currently based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham who’s interests include HPB, Upper GI surgery and clinical research

2. Dr Sidd Raj- Foundation Year 1 doctor at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust with keen interests in surgery and research.

3. Dr Adrian Kosalko- SHO in general surgery at Ipswich Hospital with a strong interest in ENT
