Description

Join us for Module 5 of the GASOC Frugal Innovation Skill course! This module is in collaboration with the NIHR Global Health Research Unit on Global Surgery - GlobalSurg! Join us to learn how to develop skills in Global Surgery Research and how these can be used in frugal and innovative ways to increase the impact of research!

Module 5: Global surgical research skills with Dr James Glasbey and Prof Adesoji Ademuyiwa.

Learning objectives:

o   Describe different types of clinical research

o   Understand principles of global surgical trial design

o   Describe the evaluation pathway of innovation in global surgery

Summary

This interactive module will provide medical professionals with an overview of research skills and how they can be applied to address the challenges of Global Health. You will also have the opportunity to interact with experienced Global Surgery researchers and find out they they started their journey. Hear from: Dr James Glasbey, NIHR Doctoral Research Fellow at the NIHR Global Health Research Unit on Global Surgery Professor Adesoji Ademuyiwa, Professor of Surgery at the University of Lagos and Hub Lead for the National Institute of Health Research Global Surgery Unit (NIHR GSU), Nigeria. Please note Module 4 will be re-arranged to a later date but we will be in touch with the details of this!
