Getting Started in… Understanding What Clinical Educational Research Is: September 18th, 12:45 - 1:45 pm

Join Dr Megan Brown and Professor Hugh Alberti for the first session of the 2024-2025 "Getting Started in... (Clinical Education Research)" series.

This monthly webinar series is designed to support novice and early-career clinical educators who are keen to get involved in clinical education research but may feel uncertain about where to start.

In this session, we’ll explore the fundamentals of clinical educational research, providing insight into what it entails, including understanding yourself as a researcher, the key terminologies and lexicon, and how to navigate the clinical educational research landscape.

With real-life examples and small group discussions, participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how to position themselves within this field.

Learning objectives

1. To understand the fundamental principles of clinical educational research and clarify the role of a medical professional as a researcher. 2. To expand comprehension of the key terminologies and lexicon used within clinical educational research. 3. To comprehend how clinical educational research can impact medical education and practice.
