1. Demonstrate knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the gastrointestinal system. 2. Identify common diseases and conditions of the gastrointestinal system, understand their pathophysiology, and describe their clinical manifestations. 3. Develop appropriate diagnostic strategies for gastrointestinal diseases, understand the role of endoscopy and other diagnostic tools, and accurately interpret laboratory results. 4. Formulate effective management plans for patients with gastroenterological conditions, including pharmacological treatments and surgical interventions, where appropriate. 5. Understand the current research in gastroenterology and incorporate evidence-based practice in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases.
