Welcome to GASOC's November journal club!
This months journal club is focused on Obstetrics & Gynaecology. We will be discussing the paper 'Randomized Trial of Early Detection and Treatment of Postpartum Hemorrhage' with guest speakers Dr Sindhu Natarajan, Leanne Beeson and Francis Muriithi.
Dr Sindhu Natarajan is the Programme Manager for the E-MOTIVE trial at the Institute of Applied Health Research, University of Birmingham. Sindhu is a public health physician by training with a previous research background in tropical diseases and vaccines in LMIC settings.
Leanne Beeson is the Programme Officer for the E-MOTIVE trial at the Institute of Applied Health Research, University of Birmingham. Leanne has worked at Birmingham Clinical Trials Unit for over 11 years and has worked in a Trials Management role for over 8 years. Leanne has worked across several Women’s Health trials including RESPITE, MifeMiso and E-MOTIVE.
Francis Muriithi is a sub-Specialty Training Fellow in Urogynaecology, Singleton & Gloucestershire Royal Programme. PhD Candidate in Global Women's Health (Thesis Awaited), University of Birmingham. Vice Chair- RCOG Global Health Trainees Committee.Health Equity, Social Responsibility & Evidence-Based Healthcare Champion.
