By the end of the teaching session, participants will understand the pathophysiology of ascending cholangitis and choledocholithiasis, including the causative factors and the physiological changes that occur in the body due to these conditions.

Participants will be able to identify the various symptoms and clinical signs associated with ascending cholangitis and choledocholithiasis, taking into account the different stages of progression of these diseases.

Participants will be able to interpret diagnostic tests and imaging relevant to ascending cholangitis and choledocholithiasis, understanding how specific findings can contribute to diagnosis and management of these conditions.

Participants will learn different management and treatment strategies for ascending cholangitis and choledocholithiasis, including both non-surgical and surgical interventions, as well as their indications, contraindications, and potential complications.

Participants will be equipped with strategies for patient education and counseling regarding ascending cholangitis and choledocholithiasis, and will be able to provide recommendations to patients on lifestyle adjustments, treatment adherence and follow-up care.
