1. To understand the pathophysiology, risk factors, and etiology of gallstone disease, including concepts such as cholelithiasis, biliary colic, and both acute and chronic cholecystitis. 2. To differentiate accurately between the symptoms, clinical presentations, and complicating factors associated with cholelithiasis, biliary colic, acute cholecystitis, and chronic cholecystitis. 3. To build proficiency in interpreting relevant diagnostic tests and imaging for gallstone disease and formulate an appropriate differential diagnosis. 4. To acquire knowledge on evidence-based treatment and management options for patients presented with various aspects of gallstone disease- from conservative management to surgical interventions. 5. To develop an understanding of potential complications and the approach to prevention and long-term management related to gallstone disease, promoting holistic patient care.
