The penultimate talk in the Trans-Oral Robotics webinar series will focus on the functional outcome of patients following TORS. Our invited experts in the field of Swallowing Therapy will give us an overview on swallowing assessments, pre-habilitation, and rehabilitation.
Aims
In this webinar, we would like the attendees to become familiar with the subjective and objective swallowing assessments used by our SLT colleagues and understand the swallowing outcome of TORS oropharyngectomy and how this compares with traditional treatment.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this webinar, attendees should:
- Be familiar with subjective and objective swallowing assessments used
- Be aware of the swallowing outcomes of TORS oropharyngectomy as described in the literature
- Be aware of the pre-habilitation and re-habilitation techniques used by SLTs.
