This session will be delivered by multiple doctors under the stewardship of Dr Jade Scott-Blagrove, Radiology Registrar and Founder of WPMN. In this episode of the series, we will be explore radiology, how to interpret common modalities encountered daily, how to understand reports, how to make appropriate requests and recognising pathology. These sessions will prove to be an invaluable gem, helping build a solid foundation in the basics of radiology for all doctors.
Bio
Jade Scott-Blagrove is a Radiology Registrar in Cambridge and Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. You'll leave her session feeling more confident about making radiology requests by learning from my mistakes and others! You'll also leave with some tips on interpreting imaging.
Rik is a Foundation doctor at Sheffield. He graduated from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2020 where he completed an intercalated degree in Molecular Therapeutics. He won first prize for a poster presentation at the British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (BAPIO) 20th Annual Conference in 2016 and has served as Co-President of Barts Language and Culture Society in 2019. He enjoys learning about new cultures and languages and in his spare time, watches films, reads history and plays the oboe.
Aiman Aslam recently graduated from the University of Cambridge and will be starting as an Academic Foundation Doctor in North London. She has a keen interest in radiology, particularly the breadth of minimally-invasive interventions, and hopes to combine a clinical career in this dynamic specialty with research, teaching and advocacy for widening participation!
Nothando Meck is a Zimbabwean born medical doctor, who is passionate about the future of radiology in modern medicine as well as improving public health systems. She enjoys tennis and has interest in writing, documentaries and entrepreneurship.
