This session will be delivered by Dr Louise Zammit. We will be discussing life on the wards and on call as an FY1/ Junior Doctor and continue the series with pearls of wisdom from this very experienced medical registrar on medical emergencies and responding unwell patients appropriately.
Bio
Dr Louise Zammit is a post CMT and MRCP qualified doctor currently working as a LAS Registrar with the Department of Medicine for Older People & Stroke at Aintree University Hospital. She is passionate and determined to pursue a medical/scientific career and have a special interest in neurology and the basic neurosciences. During the last few years she has been actively involved in many acute medical on call shifts which has given her experience and confidence to manage a variety of acute medical scenarios. She has also been involved in teaching of medical students and peers both in an informal and formal setting and has sat in on OSCEs and fOSCEs over the years. When not working, she is a keen footballer, photographer and traveller.
