Learning objectives

  1. Understand and identify the risk factors associated with prostate cancer to facilitate early detection and diagnosis processes.
  2. Explain the pathophysiology and progression of prostate cancer, allowing for a better understanding of the development and stages of the disease.
  3. Compare and contrast the various treatment options for prostate cancer, including surgery, radiation, hormone therapy, and chemotherapy, and discuss their benefits and possible side effects.
  4. Develop efficient diagnostic skills for prostate cancer, including understanding the role and interpretation of Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) testing and digital rectal exam (DRE).
