Join us for the 4th session of the Final Year Neurology Series, focusing on stroke, as part of a structured teaching series for final-year medical students. This webinar will be delivered by Dr Lin Tuleimat, a Neurology SpR and an Academic Clinical Fellow.
The session will align with the UKMLA core syllabus, covering key aspects of ischemic and haemorrhagic stroke, transient ischemic attacks (TIA), stroke mimics and acute stroke management. Emphasis will be placed on clinical presentation, diagnosis, and evidence-based management strategies, with a focus on practical application in both exams and clinical practice.
Learning objectives include:
- Developing a structured approach to the assessment and diagnosis of stroke and TIA
- Understanding acute management principles, including thrombolysis, thrombectomy, and secondary prevention
- Recognising stroke mimics and distinguishing them from true cerebrovascular events
Date: 17th March 2025
Time: 6-7 pm
Format: Online webinar
The session will include case-based discussions and interactive Q&A to reinforce key concepts. Final-year medical students preparing for exams are encouraged to attend as part of their neurology revision.
