Our fantastic speaker Lydia Potter will be discussing how students can get involved with wilderness and expedition medicine and explain what can be expected of you as an expedition doctor.
Lydia Potter is a final year medical student, hoping to specialise in emergency medicine and work towards a career incorporating prehospital medicine and expedition medicine. Her talk will cover her experiences as a junior with these interests, the opportunities she has been lucky enough to gain in this field, and the challenges students can face to gain experience in the expedition medicine world. Wilderness and Expedition medicine has unlimited potential for all medical professionals at all stages of training from diving to deserts to jungles to mountains, the challenge is just getting your foot in the door.
This is a brilliant opportunity for students and doctors who love to travel and seek out adventure!
