Welcome Dr. Angus Gane, a specialist trainee in neurology, who will be delivering “Pathway to Neurology: Aspiration to Application” about a career and his experiences in neurology! 👨‍⚕️

Dr. Gane completed his medical degree at the University of Edinburgh with an intercalated BMedSci in neuroscience and a second intercalated MScR working on stem cell models of motor neuron disease. He took an academic foundation program in Edinburgh before moving to a neurology run through academic clinical fellowship post in Liverpool during which time he completed internal medical training. During this time, he undertook neurology placements at the Walton Centre and research into the genetic architecture of epilepsy. He applied for a position as an ECAT-i Clinical Lecturer and transferred back to Edinburgh following completion of internal medical training and has worked for a year as a neurology specialist trainee. He is currently out of programme working on a PhD in mechanisms of epilepsy. 🩺
