Description

👩🏻‍⚕️👨🏽‍⚕️Want to learn more about anatomy and its theatrical (by which we mean surgical) applications, but don’t know where to start? We are pleased to announce the new webinar series, in collaboration with ESSS and AIM: An Operative Approach to Anatomy!

This is the first webinar of eight and will serve as an introduction to the theatre and some of the key anatomy to look out for when observing (or assisting) in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Breast surgery.

Attendees of 6/8 sessions will receive FREE RCSEd student affiliate membership worth £15!

All medical students are welcome, we look forward to seeing you!

* Certificates will be provided to all attendees post-feedback.

Summary

This first webinar in the series from ESSSxAIM promises to be an informative and practical introduction to the theatre and key anatomy relevant to Plastic, Reconstructive and Breast Surgery. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about surgical anatomy from the comfort of their own homes, and can collect their free RCSEd student affiliate membership worth £15 after attending six sessions. Certificates for participation will also be provided. All medical students are encouraged to join the webinar for a valuable learning experience.

Learning objectives

Following this tutorial:

  • Attendees should be able to recognise some surgical cases seen in Plastic, Reconstructive and Breast Surgery.
  • Attendees will gain a better understanding of the role of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Breast surgeons.
  • Attendees should be able to recall some of the clinically relevant information in the cases studied, including pathophysiology, investigations, management, and complications.
  • Attendees should be able to apply their understanding of the above to justify choices in surgical management through a ‘choose-your-own-adventure’ simulated surgical case.
  • Attendees should be able to apply their understanding of the above to surgical and anatomy context MCQs.
