Introducing our second Essential Examinations lecture:

Abdominal Exam – Wednesday 26th May at 18:00 CET

Lecturer: Dr Steven Gopaul

During this lecture we will work through the abdominal exam in a concise and systematic way starting with inspection of the abdomen, palpation, percussion and finally ending with auscultation. Clinical vignettes will be added throughout the lecture.

Dr Gopaul is a recent graduate of Masaryk University, Faculty of Medicine and an incoming U.K. Foundation Year 1 doctor. He is the Secretary – Treasurer of UIMS and is the “Essential Examinations” series coordinator. He is very passionate about medical education and has given multiple student lectures. His interests lie in Colorectal surgery and anything surgical in general. He is also an avid sportsman, in the process of obtaining a private pilot’s licence and loves to cook in his free time.
