Panellists
Our panellists include:
- Ngozi Anyaugo - MRCSEd. Ngozi is an ST4 in general surgery in East of England and RCS Edinburgh trainees committee member. She is a member of the working group committee for Basic Surgical Skills 7th Edition, Regional clinical supervisor for year 6 Cambridge medical students and faculty member for Basic Surgical Skills course. Mum of 2 who also runs a cooking channel in her spare time.
- Kirsti Morris - Kirsti Morris is originally from Shetland but has lived in Aberdeen for the past four years while completing her undergraduate degree. She graduated in June from the University of Aberdeen with First Class Honours in Physiology. The research she will be presenting was conducted during her honours project, titled "Understanding the Effects of Gender Bias on Operative Autonomy in Orthopaedic Surgery in the UK." Kirsti is passionate about advancing gender equity within the surgical field and hopes her research will contribute to this cause.
- Emilia Sykes - Emilia Sykes is currently in her final year of the MBChB program at the University of Aberdeen. She recently completed a BSc in Physiology (Intercalated) at the same institution. The research she will present was carried out during her intercalated honours project last year, titled “Literature Review on the Effect of Gender Perception Bias on Operative Autonomy.” With a keen interest in pursuing a career in Trauma and Orthopaedics, Emilia is passionate about promoting gender equality and improving the experiences of women in surgery, hoping her research will advance these goals.
