Summary

Point of Care Ultrasound (PoCUS) has revolutionized bedside diagnostics and therapeutics, offering real-time visualization to aid clinical decision-making. This technology allows for rapid assessment of various medical conditions, enabling timely interventions. While PoCUS offers immense potential, its utility is deeply tied to the user's competence, making training and continued education essential.

Learning objectives

Skill Development in POCUS Techniques: By the end of this session, participants will be able to competently handle and position the ultrasound probe to obtain clear and diagnostically relevant images for common clinical presentations.

Clinical Application of POCUS: Attendees will be able to integrate Point of Care Ultrasound findings into their clinical decision-making process, ensuring timely and accurate patient management.

Identification of Common Pathologies: Participants will demonstrate the ability to reliably identify and differentiate between normal and pathological findings in real-time patient scenarios using POCUS.

Improving Patient Communication: Attendees will develop the competency to communicate ultrasound findings in an understandable manner to patients, ensuring informed consent and enhanced patient-doctor trust.
