1. Develop familiarity with the anatomy and biomechanics of a stiff shoulder, including the common muscles and ligaments involved in shoulder mobility 2. Identify common acute and chronic etiologies by selecting imaging and other diagnostic tests as appropriate 3. Summarize treatment principles for the management of stiff shoulders, including pharmacological and nonpharmacological interventions 4. Utilize physical modalities to reverse rigid, restricted shoulder mobility 5. Educate patients on the importance of proper shoulder rehabilitation to reduce long-term recurrence of shoulder stiffness.
