About the speaker:
“I am a Plastic Surgery trainee (ST3) currently working in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. Following graduation from the University of Aberdeen, 2018, I completed an academic foundation programme and subsequently attained a plastic surgery-themed core surgical training number in Yorkshire. I am the treasurer for the British Trauma Society and enjoy teaching students and aspiring surgeons.
I find surgery (particularly plastic surgery) extremely rewarding; however, it is not without its challenges. The application processes can be tedious and time consuming, which is difficult for doctors who will undoubtedly have many commitments they are trying to balance. As such, I would like to share my personal experiences with you to provide some insight into life as a trainee and share tips for building your portfolio.”
