Aim(s): The broader aim of this session is to help DHCPs improve oral health through simple tailored advice for their patients and provide a deeper technical understanding of how to use oral care products in a more engaging way for patients.
Objectives: At the end of this session delegates should be able to: Be more conscious of the importance of establishing their patients’ base understanding of what good oral care means and what their current motivation levels are Educate and motivate patients to improve their oral care regime at an appropriate level for them to improve their current clinical baseline Connect patients to appropriate oral care products better through education and demonstration and discussing the beneficial effects of regular use of these products for oral health and general health
Learning Content: This session with the use of Power Point slides supplemented with a verbal presentation and interactive workshop which will reinforce the importance of simple oral health prevention and promotion advice to patient’s from their DHCP leading to a healthier mouth and general health improvements.
