Description

CUOGS 10th Annual Conference: "Innovations in Obstetrics & Gynaecology: Bridging the Gap"

The Cambridge University Obstetrics & Gynaecology Society (CUOGS) is thrilled to announce its 10th Annual Conference, taking place on Saturday, 29th March 2025. This milestone event will, for the first time, welcome international students alongside UK-based attendees, offering both in-person and online* participation.

Join us at the Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, for a day dedicated to exploring innovations in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) and addressing gaps within the field, including patient-doctor communication, research advancements and tackling disparities in O&G practice, such as mental health and black maternal outcomes. We will be providing a comprehensive coverage of O&G specialties: obstetrics, gynaecology, reproductive medicine, allowing you to be better informed with regards to the career prospects within this specialty.

The day will feature:

  • Morning Talks: Insights from clinicians, midwives, patient advocates, charities, and femtech innovators;
  • Opportunities for Oral Presentations: Showcase your work with oral presentations and reflective writing submissions;
  • Career Panel: Gain valuable advice from experts in diverse O&G fields.
  • Lunch and Networking: Explore stalls and connect with peers and experts.
  • Interactive Workshops: Hands-on sessions led by experienced O&G professionals, including ultrasound scanning and labour-based workshops.

Ticket Information:

Tickets are priced at just £5, with all proceeds donated to a charity (to be announced).

Awards and Prizes:

Prizes for oral presentations and reflective writing submissions will be awarded during the conference. Submission windows and updates will be shared on our Instagram page: @cambridge.obgyn (https://www.instagram.com/cambridge.obgyn). Certificates of recognition will be awarded.

We invite UK students to join us in person and encourage international students to participate online. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance: online or in person! Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a global conversation on the future of O&G!

* Online participants will have access to discussion-based workshops but will not be able to participate in the hands-on sessions or other in-person networking opportunities.
