Healthcare Conferences UK (HCUK) in association with the Clinical Audit Support Centre are pleased to announce details for the Clinical Audit Summit 2023 which will share examples of best practice in clinical audit.
Hot topics this year include: Patient Safety and PSIRF.
The Clinical Audit Summit 2023 is now in its 23rd year and brings together clinicians, senior/middle managers and leading local and national clinical audit and improvement experts.
Through a series of national updates, practical case studies, extended workshops and debates, this one-day virtual conference will focus on local and national clinical audit and celebrate best practice. Over the last two decades this event has become the ‘must-attend’ annual conference for clinical audit and QI professionals. The conference will also link clinical audit to important new initiatives and approaches, including NHS Impact and their initiative Improving Patient Care Together and the NHS Delivery and continuous improvement review recommendations. We will also look at how clinical audit relates to the new Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF).
This year’s conference this year will focus primarily on local clinical audit. All healthcare organisations need to demonstrate that their local clinical audit functions are robust, effective and fit-for-purpose. Local audit projects and programmes should highlight good care, pin-point sub-standard care and serve as an efficient mechanism to deliver changes and improvements. The programme includes a range of experts, award winners and regional network chairs working at the coalface in local clinical audit who will share their experiences and wisdom. However, local clinical audit is not the sole focus of the day. We have expert speakers who run and evaluate national clinical audit, plus speakers who lead on wider quality improvement initiatives in their organisation.
