Dr. Chris Willott - Senior Lecturer in Global Health & Course Director at King’s College London Dr. Chris Willott is the Education Lead and Course Director for the MSc in Global Health at King’s College London. With a Masters in Politics and a PhD in International Development, he specializes in development processes, state-society relationships, and health service delivery. His research focuses on health inequalities, particularly in Sierra Leone, where he explores the systemic drivers of health disparities across the life course. Dr. Omar Risk - Obstetrician, Gynaecologist & Global Health Innovator Dr. Omar Risk is a clinician and researcher specializing in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea Hospital. He is currently an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow at Imperial College London, with research focusing on health equity and maternal health in under-resourced settings. He is pioneering a community-based point-of-care placental growth factor testing project in Sierra Leone and has a strong academic background in genomic medicine and health economics. Professor Jane Hirst - Chair in Global Women’s Health, Imperial College & The George Institute Professor Jane Hirst is a leading expert in global women’s health, holding the position of Chair in Global Women’s Health at The George Institute for Global Health, UK, and Imperial College. Her research aims to improve healthcare delivery for women, particularly in preventing complications from conditions like gestational diabetes and preeclampsia. She is pioneering the SMART Health Pregnancy trial in rural India, which aims to enhance screening and management of high-risk pregnancies through community-based interventions and digital tools.
