1. By the end of the session, learners will be able to understand the fundamental elements of the cardio-respiratory system and how both systems operate cooperatively to maintain bodily function. 2. Learners will be able to outline the major diseases and conditions afflicting the cardio-respiratory system, their symptoms, risks, and usual treatments. 3. Learners will be able to provide a basic differential diagnosis for common cardio-respiratory conditions based on symptomatology and clinical presentations. 4. Learners will be able to interpret basic diagnostic testing related to cardio-respiratory conditions, such as ECG readings, blood gas analysis, and pulmonary function tests. 5. Learners will be able to identify and suggest strategic interventions, both pharmacological and non-pharmacological, for the management and treatment of various cardio-respiratory conditions.
