1. By the end of the session, learners should be able to understand the interrelation between the cardiovascular and respiratory systems and how the coordinated function of both systems is vital to overall health. 2. Learners should be able to identify the key anatomical and physiological landmarks of the cardio-respiratory system, including heart, lungs, and the major circulatory routes. 3. Participants will learn to recognize common pathologies of the cardio-respiratory system, their causes, symptoms, diagnostic tools and treatments. 4. Participants will be capable to interpret key cardio-respiratory clinical data, including interpreting EKGs, chest X-rays, and pulmonary function tests. 5. By the end of the session, learners should be able to apply their knowledge to devise patient-centric treatment plans for common cardio-respiratory conditions, and be more familiar with preventative measures and patient education strategies.
