Dr. Mohsen Hajhosseiny is a highly accomplished consultant cardiothoracic radiologist at Imperial College London, with a robust academic and clinical background. He earned his MBBS from Imperial College London in 2011, and furthered his education with a BSc in medical physics and biomedical engineering from University College London (UCL). He also holds an MRes in medical imaging sciences with distinction from King's College London, reflecting his deep expertise in advanced imaging techniques.
Dr. Hajhosseiny completed his radiology training at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust between 2015 and 2021, where he gained extensive experience in a wide range of radiological specialties. He undertook prestigious fellowships in Cardiac CT, Cardiac MRI, and Cardiothoracic Imaging, further sharpening his skills in these highly specialized areas. His commitment to advancing cardiac imaging is evident in his focus on leading-edge imaging modalities for diagnosing and managing cardiothoracic conditions.
From 2021 to 2023, Dr. Hajhosseiny served as a consultant cardiothoracic radiologist and Cardiac CT lead at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trusts. In this role, he was instrumental in overseeing and developing the Cardiac CT service, enhancing diagnostic capabilities for complex cardiovascular conditions.
Appointed as a consultant cardiothoracic radiologist at Imperial College London in October 2023, Dr. Hajhosseiny continues to contribute to both clinical practice and academic research, with a focus on advancing radiological techniques in cardiothoracic medicine. His expertise and leadership in the field make him a key asset to the department and a leader in cardiothoracic radiology.
