Description

This new webinar series will provide bite size basic science lectures covering the fundamentals of basic sciences from across the FRCS Trauma and Orthopaedic Curriculum. These will be interactive lectures from seasoned educators with the opportunity to engage in discussions with a Q&A session.

The fifth webinar in the series will cover the basic sciences of the Hip.

Aims

To provide participants with the opportunity to develop understanding of the core concepts of the basic sciences underpinning trauma and orthopaedics.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this webinar, the participant should be able to explain the core basic sciences underpinning the Hip and link them to relevant clinical scenarios and practices.

Panellists

Our panellists include:

  • Mr Christopher Gee - Christopher Gee is a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon at NHS Golden Jubilee where he is also the Associate Medical Director for National Elective Services. Mr Gee has published chapters and textbooks in the award winning "Unofficial Guide to medicine" series, is the Education Lead for the West of Scotland Orthopaedics Rotation and is a member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers. His clinical interests include Hip and Knee Arthroplasty and Soft tissue knee surgery. He has had a passion for teaching and taught on webinars to a global audience during the pandemic.
