Anna is a SFP junior doctor who graduated medical school in 2023 receiving several prestigious awards, including the University Research Team Prize in 2021 and recognition on the Head of School's Merit List in 2022 and 2023. She also received the BAPRAS elective scholarship for her plastic surgery elective which took place in Paris and in Réunion, France.

In addition to her medical studies, Anna is pursuing the upskilling Master courses at the University of Edinburgh and a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education.

She has a keen interest in plastic surgery research and has joined the Usher’s Institute at the University of Edinburgh to complete the research component of her specialised foundation program in global congenital anomalies care.

This talk will focus on how to build you research portfolio as a medical student, strategies for identifying and seizing research opportunities, types of research project I was involved in and their impact. I will focus on plastic surgery research, as that is my main interest.
