Professor Igor E. Konstantinov, MD, PhD, FRACS is Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Director of the Melbourne Centre for Cardiovascular Surgery and Regenerative Medicine and Professor of the University of Melbourne. He graduated from the Military Medical Academy, St. Petersburg, Russia in 1992 and obtained his PhD from the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada in 2004. He has published over 450 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. He is also an Associate Editor of the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery and Congenital Editor of the Operative Techniques in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery.
