Mr Rakesh Dhokia is a Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon with the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. His specialist interest is in both Adult and Children’s Spinal surgery and is the Lead for Scoliosis Surgery in Northern Ireland.

He is enthusiastic about training healthcare professionals of all grades, medical students, and junior doctors in surgery. In 2023 he was awarded Northern Ireland Orthopaedic Trainer of the Year.

He also teaches on the Queens University Belfast Clinical Anatomy MSc and has mentored medical students to achieve publication.
