The UCT Surgical Society is a student-driven society affiliated with the Department of Surgery at Groote Schuur Hospital. The Society was established in 2006 with the aim of providing its members with an informal, extra-curricular teaching programme that is a stimulating adjunct to the medical school curriculum and includes activities and experiences which will enhance their interest and development in all aspects of surgery, medical research and leadership.
