Trials and Audits in Surgery by Medical Students in Australia and New Zealand (TASMAN) is a student-led audit and research network that empowers and equips students (medical students and pre-SET doctors) to be engaged in high-quality collaborative surgical research. It is modelled and supported by the STARSurg collaborative model in the UK. TASMAN seeks to provide students with foundational knowledge and skills in collaborative audit and research in order to allow for more complex project undertakings once students become trainees.
