Welcome Students for Global Health Exeter!
We are the Exeter branch of Students for Global Health. You don't need to be a medical student to join us, just enthusiasm for learning about global health and advocating for health equity. Students for Global Health is a registered charity and national network working to tackle global and local health inequalities through education, advocacy and action.
We represent all UK medical students to the International Federation of Medical Students and the World Health Organisation. There are over 30 branches of SfGH in universities across the UK, many nationally run activities and several national working groups alongside collaborating with numerous external partners and affiliated organisations both nationally and internationally.
With regards to our branch some plans we have for the coming year are:
Careers in Global Health: webinar series
Ethical and Sustainable electives: practical advice and lessons from other students
Beach cleans
Volunteer experience with local charities
Making reusable sanitary pads for a charity donation
AMK teaching
Possible conference *fingers crossed*
We hope you'll join us for a great year full of education, advocacy and community action!
