PRASSA UK is a national student association that seeks to promote an interest in, and teaching of, plastic surgery to university students from across the UK. Prior to the creation of PRASSA UK, university plastics societies operated at a regional level and, in most cases, independently of one another. As a result of this they were not fulfilling their true potential and had been missing out on opportunities that they did not even know to exist. Since our inception, 35 individual university-affiliated Plastic Surgery societies have become members of PRASSA UK. We now act as a central hub for all university-affiliated plastic surgery societies across the UK. We hope to enhance the experience that students have of their own university plastics society by encouraging collaboration, generating engaging educational content and hosting meaningful/accessible in-person and online events.
