Oxford ACHD Echo is a free, on-line teaching programme designed to equip general adult echocardiographers with the knowledge and skills to scan complex ACHD patients with confidence and competence. The programme consists of 12 live teaching sessions run once a month on-line and available for catch-up viewing afterwards. Each hour-long session focuses on a particular congenital lesion. The anatomy and physiology are described in a clear, accessible way, and a practical assessment framework for each lesion is presented. Key slides and resources can be accessed via our free website oxfordachdecho.org. The programme is endorsed by the British Society of Echocardiography, with 0.5 BSE points awarded per live session. Oxford ACHD Echo was established by Dr Joanna Lim in 2020 to help address the need for echocardiographers with the skills to scan the growing ACHD population. The audience has grown nationally such that we had over 500 attendees join our on-line teaching programme in 2022-23. Our aim is to open up the exciting world of adult congenital heart disease to healthcare professionals without prior training or experience in this area - we hope you can join us!
