The National Surgical, Educational and Mentorship Scheme (NSEMS) is designed to be a collaborative community of doctors and medical students that brings together resources, experience and teaching to create a mutually beneficial space to share knowledge and seek guidance in pursuit of a surgical career 🏥 We know how hard it can be to gain exposure, experience and advice when seeking a surgical career. From trying to log theatre hours to getting your name on to publications, it can be quite a daunting task to even get your foot in the door without the help of an experienced and enthusiastic mentor 👨🏼‍⚕️ The NSMS provides a unique opportunity for medical students to connect with surgeons-in-training to enhance their interest and develop their portfolio’s to get a step ahead on a surgical career! 🩺 Whether you have a wholehearted passion for surgery or just want more guidance and opportunities to explore what surgery entails, the NSMS can help you! ✅ Interested?
