The National Emergency Surgical Teaching (NEST) is a 10-week teaching programme which aims to provide weekly teaching on emergencies in general surgery, urology, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, gynaecology and trauma and orthopaedic surgery for medical students and foundation trainees. We also encourage and support foundation trainee doctors interested in pursuing a career in surgery through sessions on specialty applications, exams and interview preparation.
