In recent times, increasing competition ratios in medical specialties has led to growing concerns among medical students about specialty training and portfolio development. Recent studies indicate that students from widening participation backgrounds are less likely to pursue specialty training, primarily due to limited access to information about the application process and strategies for enhancing their portfolios. By running this series we want to: Demystify the application process for higher training. Empower medical students by providing knowledge of both higher training application and the curriculum. Create a supportive environment for medical students by promoting efficient and meaningful ways to gain experience and build a strong portfolio.
