Formoterol, 72mcg (BUDE-FORMO MDI) & 48mcg (BECLO-FORMO MDI) maximum daily recommendation. Because of the rapid onset of action and around 8 hourly duration, ICS-Formo is recommended as (a) Reliever (as needed), (b) Reducing the risk of exacerbation (Maintenance) and (c) Short-term reduction to the risk of severe exacerbation.
2 inhalations Twice daily, PLUS whenever needed 1 inhalation, are still evidence-based for individuals who can be controlled.
IMPORTANT: MART is for Maintenance and symptom relief, awareness of acute exacerbation, especially situations when to seek support need to be educated.
