EMGA & EDGA
The lack of a transition period from being a European medical student to becoming a junior doctor led to the creation of EMGA. The need for the development of such organisation was established among international graduates, who shared common medical school experiences and aspired to the same goals for the advancement of their medical career. Coming from an international university, there is a shortfall of preparation for the healthcare system of the destination country, resulting in low confidence and different standards of competition. Addressing these issues became a priority to support and provide for the future generations of junior doctors.
