The goal of the Community Hospice and Palliative Care Centre is to create a viable Primary Palliative Supportive Care services to the community. The essence is to champion the provision of good quality of life for patients within the community. The approach is to foster and ensure competency drive to empower the primary care healthcare professionals with the knowledge, skills, appropriate attitudes to provide quality care to patients suffering from serious health issues at the grassroots; such cancer, end stage cardiac, renal, neurological and HIV/AID. The strategy is to provide Hospice Palliative Supportive care education, training and mentorship for multidisciplinary healthcare professional teams and trainees, within their domains.
