Formed in December 2013, CollabORTHO is a collaboration of orthopaedic trainees and consultants with a keen interest in orthopaedic education and training. The collaboration was primarily formed to address the lack of formal undergraduate orthopaedic teaching. Over the last eight years, we have delivered teaching to hundreds of medical students from several medical schools across the UK. Our courses employ a variety of teaching methods to optimise students' learning outcomes so that they are well prepared for their final exams and their future clinical practice. Our multiple award-winning courses (x4 ASiT Regional Meeting Awards) includes an excellent teaching faculty, consisting of orthopaedic consultants and trainees. We have previously received excellent feedback, with over 99% of students stating that they would recommend this course to their colleagues. Moving forwards, we will also be delivering teaching at the postgraduate level, specifically preparing trainees for ST3 interviews as well as FRCS viva courses.
