This society aims: - To encourage female medical students to consider a surgical career - To form a network of aspiring female surgeons - To provide role models to aspiring female surgeons - To provide gender-specific career advice to female medical students - To encourage female representation at larger scale events such as conferences - To enhance the portfolios of female medical students via the provision of certificates for event attendance. - To create opportunities for the enhancement of portfolios of female medical students - To educate female medical students about the requirements for foundation programme, core and specialty training applications
